Denis Severinsen's career in commercial real estate began in early 1999 when he joined MLG Commerical, a leading brokerage firm based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; with his primary focus being dedicated to the retail segment of the business. He has held a Wisconsin real estate broker's license since 1995, and holds a broker's license for the state of Michigan as well.

His concentration on retail brokerage is the result of previous years in the grocery industry with the Kroger Company, Roundy's Milwaukee Division, and Supervalu's Midwest Region; which included the managment of sales and retail operations support staff, new business acquisitions, retail development, store construction, retailer financing, and asset sales and purchase agreements. Throughout those years, Denis lived in Wisconsin, and conducted business throughout that state, in addition to Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana, but he returned to his hometown of Escanaba, Michigan in 2002.

In February of 2002, Denis joined Dagenais Enterprises, based in Escanaba, as Vice-President of Real Estate Management & Development. Among other business ventures, Dagenais Enteprises is a leading northern Michigan commercial development organization, with ownerhship of such properties as Wal-mart Supercenter, Staples, Kmart, Sears, and several other major retailer locations, as well as shopping center leasing and managment.

In the early part of 2003, Dagenais Enterprises established a commercial real estate brokerage entity as part of their development operations. This entity - Great Lakes Commercial Real Estate, LLC. - conducts a full line of brokerage services in both Michigan and northern Wisconsin.
